My F11 530d
So, yesterday I went and picked up my new motor. A F11 BMW 530d. The 335d was just too small, so thought it was time for the bigger brother. Must say I am pleased. Very pleased.
Spec: Sophisto Grey M-Sport M-Sport Plus Pro Media Reversing Camera Folding Mirrors Multi Function Display Sports Auto Not a huge, comprehensive list of extras, but it is pretty well specced already, and with them additions, it does make a very nice overall package. Some (phone pics in failing light conditions, on a miserable day) pictures: Not the best time fo year for getting a new motor. Especially as you struggle to get decent pics. Will get some up at some point though. |

Lovely looking motor, what colour interior have you got? Sadly getting pictures comparable to our Florida friends is always going to be difficult this time of year!

Yeah. They are getting changed, lol.
Yeah, been using snowfoam for a few years now. Well rehearsed. Although I try to JUST use that as much as I can get away with. Black interior with hex trim. Nothing exciting tbh. Had "off-white" interiors before, and funky interiors, and it made them cars horrendous to sell. Black leather interior is very nice, and everyone likes them, so that's the way for me now |

Lol! I had forgotten about the roof rails, although actually they do not look too bad against black. I did'nt notice anyway and I tend to notice bits like that!

I know what you mean, my recently sold RRSport was Black with Ivory interior, which whilst looking lovely, was a pain to keep clean and I was forever wiping off jean dye from the seats.
I deliberately chose black this time around for that very reason.....light interiors....been there done that Edit - in all seriousness.....I like the roof rails as they are |

Sorry XS2Man, missed this thread! Looking good, Sophisto Grey is cracking colour choice.
Isn't it funny how we're all of similar habits. Snow form all the way for me as well, I trust there are a couple of buckets (preferably with grit guards) and a couple of good quality lambs wool mits just out of shot? Must say though, I don't think the roof rails look too bad at all, sure you want to change them?

Yeah, I have the 2 buckets, and some lambswool mits and all that. Even have a G220 V2 knocking about.
If I'm honest though, I am pretty lazy, and rarely use any of it. I will usually give the car a couple (maybe 3) GOOD washes a year. The rest of the time, its a quick snow foam until the wax starts wearing off, then maybe hit it with another few coats. Otherwise, I try to leave it alone, lol. Chilly start today. Was all ready to get up and get washing, for some decent pics, but the other motors are outside all frosted up. I have made the mistake of snow foaming a motor in sub-zero temps before, and it froze on the car. Not a huge amount of fun getting it off I must admit. Hopefully it warms up a bit and I can whip the good camera out. |

Yeah. I don't know how many times I told the dealer I didn't want them. Pretty sure it was in the option list to delete them too. Grrrrr.
In the meantime, got me some winter wheels / tyres in 18" guise. Sweet. |

So, Photobucket has become a right PITA, so I have defected to Flickr just now...
Took these earlier today, so thought I'd share some slightly better pics. Still stuff to do to the motor, but here are some slightly better snaps anyway. Very nice xs2man
What interior trim is that, Hexagon, or something else? I'm going to start my mission on coding tonight and do some proper reading up with the hope of downloading the software too. |

Sweet! Great pics XS2man. Other than it being an F11 it's exactly the same visually as my pending arrival.

Just 450 miles so far.
Should get the first tank down in the next couple days to see what my real mpg figure is. Another tank / tank and a half after that and she will be essentially broken in and can start treating her to a bit of whelly. Test out that launch control and stuff. Although, by that time, it'll probably be proper winter, so winter wheels will be on, lol. |

So, first fuel up done. Excellent. 37.3 MPG from the first tank I can't complain. Hopefully she loosens up a little over the next for k and I can break 40 mpg average...
And for comparison, my other cars: And my old 335d : Gotta love fuelly banners though. Auto updating, so whenever I refer to this thread later, it will always give me current figures for comparison... |

Congrats! on the new car.
I wish we could get the F11 in the states. I was trying to get a 15" subwoofer in my 335d, what a joke. I can't wait to order my F10 in lieu of the F11. Great looking car? I am probably going with Callisto Gray. |
