F10 LCI 535xi blue plastic retainer clip broken off

A few weeks after my car being in the shop I noticed a plastic piece in my door storage space. I managed to identify it as a plastic retainer clip, but I’m having a hard time finding out where it came from and the shop says they don’t know anything about it (what a surprise).
Can anyone help me out, I’ve snapped a few pictures of the clip and the plastic piece it’s broken off with.

What job was the shop doing? Did they have to remove any panels?

Funny enough the car was there for wheel alignment! I had my car washed the previous week at an autowash place so I can’t say for certain that this was done in the shop.

Thanks for the info, went through assembly diagrams, but couldn't find anything that looks like the broken off plastic piece and the door panels and sills seem intact on my car.
