There will be an intercooler out after initial testing is done. Charge pipe will also be in by that end of the year.
Hopefully the interest in the intercooler .

Here is my video for the BMW intake from outside. Sorry about the recording little brother got a little nervous when he heard the woooshhh from the turbo lol Took the car for a spin, not much of a difference, more for looks and sound, dont feel much of a difference performance wise.

Is this a BMS intercooler? What are the expected gains?

Sounds like the intake is more a sound rather than performance. You can here the turbo more.

Even so, you wouldn't be able to notice the 2-3 hp loss due to it (if that). Keep in mind though, with the BMS intake, it still utilizes the "cold air" drawn from the bottom part of the stock air box.
Car is utilizing cold air ONLY when it is moving. Since top is open, engine is ingesting half hot air + half fresh air.

Just bought on for my 2014! I bought it mainly for looks and sound, I believe it will benefit in power once a tune and exhaust is added.

Picking up the car on wednesday!! Can't wait.

There is a slight loss in power below 5k rpms with the BMS intake (or any open air intake). I was wondering if a drop in filter would be a hybrid between the 2.

I will say that the BMS intake looks like it will add some "go" for the N55 above 5k rpms.

I honestly don't even hear a sound difference or feel a performance difference.
I have a downpipe, titanium exhaust and sounds the same to me. IDK...might be waist of $200

Just threw it on my 2014 LCI, you can hear it a little bit with the windows down, honestly with the windows up you do not hear it a whole lot.

Hopefully it will give me some gains when I start modding the car up more.

Anyone have updates thoughts after running this intake for a while?

I have heard mixed reviews on this mod. If you had the chance, would you buy the intake again?

Performance wise...I don't feel a thing, sound wise...you can most def hear the turbo. You can hear it even more with downpipe or exhaust. I have both downpipe and exhaust and you can hear it a lot.

Cleaning this filter

Got the K&N cleaning kit. All the directions are straight forward, except for how much of the blue filter oil to add? Especially since it states that adding too much or too little will have bad results and damage the car. So, my question is, how much oil do we pour into the applicator to use when cleaning this filter?
