M Performance Rear Diffuser - Paint or Not Paint?

so i have a new rear diffuser to replace my CF vorstiener as the quad set up has gone and now have single exit on each side from the MPE.

so I have the MP rear diffuser.

so my question is do I leave it the matt black or paint to colour match the car - alpine white.

I currently have CF tips on the MPE so was thinking to paint to get the better contrast with the CF tips as leaving it all black, then the CF tips will not be fully appreciated.

painted

black

really no paint - was thinking to get better contrast on the CF tips.

will save money anyway if not painted.

hopefully can get a few more replies to a choice or other peoples ideas.

no paint - I think the different colors give it a better stance look.

i'm voting again! no paint haha! i think if you paint it than you lose the look of the diffuser. what you'll end up having is a 1 piece huge bumper you know what i mean? what about painting it gloss black or matte?

I cant get my ahead around the pricing of BMW.

the Stock diffuser is around £80 while the M Performance diffuser is £400 and made from the same plastic material!! WTF is that about - if it was CF maybe i'd understand.

but I suppose it doesn't matter as muppets like me pay it!!

I went with the painted look on mine and I like it. Looks different but very OEM:

yes - that's what I mean - is same diffuser but will be alpine white where yours is silver.

will keep the black parts black where yours are also black.

maybe looks better on yours as its a quad set up, I will have the single exit only on each side now with the MPE

the stance does look better with all black.

the pictures where I have seen it painted appear to make the cars rear end not look so wide and it angles in.

Ha, I'm looking at the same diffuser. I vote for no paint too though I am considering having it gloss black wrapped. I saw one on eBay for 150 with free shipping. What are you getting yours for?

i saw the replicas on ebay, but I also like OEM and original items - so I ended up getting OEM M Performance diffuser from my local BMW dealer - got a discount and was £366.

I have all other M Performance items on my car.

Not painting or contrast says: Look at my mod!!!
I realize on a non black car there is contrast, but to me it looks clumsy.
Painting it says "I go my own way", and it looks more OEM even though OEM was black.

Paint it. The contours of the mod will show great.

I wouldn't paint it. It's not to gain attention, it just looks more aggressive.

Sounds like you want to paint it, and you should do what you like.
