Custom Exhaust

What's the difference with going with a custom exhaust for a 535i then going with a Remus exhaust for example?

Do you guys prefer a brand like Remus over a custom exhaust?

Garage List
2015 BMW X5  [10.00]
2013 BMW M5 [SOLD]  [10.00]
2013 BMW 535i [SOLD]  [10.00]
It all depends on what you want the car to sound like. For me, I had M5 mufflers on the car but they just wasn't loud enough so I ended up doing a muffler delete and for me its just perfect.

I like the Remus system a lot. No drone, it sounds great and looks good.

when you say custom exhaust that sounds to me like you're letting a muffler shop slapping on some Borla's or Magnaflows. if that's the case don't do it. get something made for the BMW like Remus, Dinan, Megan's or if you wanna go OEM look into M Performance, M5 and if you wanna spend some coin look into Meisterschaft, Akrapovic, ect...

The Remus sounds good but what if you have non M-sport stock 535 rear bumper? Looks like Remus is all quad tips, whereas the BMW M-Sport exhaust is dual (two singles).

You'll have to do what i did and swap the Non M bumper to a MSPORT which gives you a lot of options on diffusers. I'm running the Meisterschaft's which has a nice deep exotic note to it paired with the Carbon Fiber DTM diffuser
