2014 535d configurator on-line

Just decided to check after reading the edmunds article. It is updated on BMWNA's website. However, it is only for the 535d model, the 535, 550 and 528 configurators are still 2013 MY. It does have the 2 lines on it. I think it is weird that it has a "blank" reflector where the turn signal used to be (since it is integrated into the sideview mirror now).

O/w this vehicle is getting quite pricey.

Seems like the US M-sport doesn't have the ///M badges on the front fenders.

The European versions have this as well as the ///M on the gearlever:

I've been playing around with the 535d configuration. The mocha brown looks really different there then in the pictures I had seen I wonder what the color looks like in person.

2014 Mocha Nappa Interior

Sorry for the poor lighting ... it was about to rain.

This was from a test vehicle at BMW NA HQ.

What wood trim would you recommend it with?

Is it just me or is BMW slowly decreasing their interior color choices?

I don't know how you don't love this color? I think the choices offered are great.

Black, Ivory, Beige & Mocha are now standard choices ... what color would you like to see on a 5 series?

You always have the option of going Individual if you want something different.

It only has like three on there right now. So it may not be final I guess. That being said, I'd love a nice red. I'm just in a red phase right now though.

Yeah, I know. But that costs like $6k for the "regular" individual. I don't even want to imagine what a fully custom job with BMW individual would cost.

I would go Anthracite. I also think the hexagonal aluminum trim would look really nice as well.

The main issue I have with the Individual on the MY14 F10 isn't even the price - it's the awful way they implemented it. Paying the $6K for an Individual means that you won't get fog-lights and unless you go for a 550, you won't be able to order the sports-transmission, either. For MY13, you got mixed performance tires with Individual - that's gone now, too. The price, however, went up.

According to the configurator, this car puts 101% of its GVW on the ground:

"Weight distribution, front/rear – Automatic transmission 49.6/51.4 %"

I'm very confused about this. It was my understanding that they removed the turn signals on the side of the chassis for the LCI?

Isn't that the spot where the LCI models are supposed to have their Line-badge (Luxury etc.)? I do know that we won't get such a badge in the US but the images we're seeing probably aren't US models, either...
