I'd say they focused on the 535d because it's a new engine. The rest will follow.

No, they started building the non diesel 5 series about three weeks ago. My 2014 535i is already built and at the port waiting to ship.

RWD. I live in California so no need for xdrive from a weather perspective.
Specs:
2014 535i, M-Sport, Drivers assistance pkg, premium pkg, Sport transmission, multi contour seats, side & top view cameras, premium audio. Leather, Nav & BMW apps are standard. The price came in at $1,000 U.S. below invoice including destination, MACO & training.

I understand how to negotiate invoice price. But, what is the incentive for a dealer to price a vehicle below invoice?

I dont know for certain, and didn't ask, but my Dealer runs a large BMW enthusiast community so he *may* have gotten special pricing. It could also be that the colors and options on their early LCI allocation weren't going to be big sellers in their area. Regardless, Dealers still make money selling below invoice.
