Carly for bmw

Hi guys,

Has anybody preferably local got a Carly adapter I can have a little play with? Considering taking the plunge but don't want to risk £90 if I don't have much use for it!

Cheers

If you can't find anyone to pay for this and then send it to you so you can do your coding for free just get E-Sys which is free and allows you to do much more than Carly.

Nothing to do with somebody else paying me and using for free, I'm happy to at the person for "hire" if you will and not actually code anything at all. I just think anybody is an idiot to buy something that they haven't seen, that's common sense to me.

Cable coding looks a bit complicated for me, not so much the software, but the side loading it off my MacBook.

So the person you're borrowing it from - unless he borrowed one first - is an idiot?

Just kidding.

E-Sys is easy but admittedly I've never tried from a MacBook.

You have virtually run windows on it I believe and then use eSYS as normal. It's the whole splitting the hard drive I don't like the sound of.

If it is something you decide to purchase it wouldn't be £90.

My friend paid for the pro version of the software + a working 3rd party adapter which i wish i had gone for now for the total of £62.95.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bluetooth-...cAAOSw8HBZHI8G

obviously this does not include all the costs to unlock extra's inside the app.

I wanted to see what coding options are even available for my car prior to purchasing it, the website pretty much shows everything but from my understanding, depending on the cars age, not all may be available to a specific car

Welcome to pop over one of the days, mine is a 2011 525D M Sport and have been happy with the coding option Carly provides. The only problems you may run into is trying code the car to enable a feature and you don have the necessary hardware present. Like a auto closing boot etc.
