2013 F10 Sales Figures (U.S.)

BMW 5 Series sold 54,020 units in 2013 (nearly identical to 2012 at 54,073). The highest ever sales year for a 5 Series was 2006 (56,649).

MB E Class sold 61,008 in 2013 (highest sales ever), up 8% over 2012.

Audi A6 sales were up 18% to 22,428 in 2013.

The Tesla Model S sold 19,149 in 2013.

Jaguar XF sales were up 45% to 7,922.

I think the 5 blows away all of the competition. It's already BMW's best selling 5, I believe, and maybe my all time favorite of all BMW sedans.

It would be interesting to see the 5 series breakdown sales numbers of 528 vs 535 vs 550.

I would expect the 535 to dominate the sales in the US, at least.

I'm sure it'll be an improvement, as each typically is, in terms of the technology, efficiency, etc. However, I'm not loving BMW's recent changes to the 3 and x5... particularly the new snout. I wasn't a fan of the e60, either... so we'll have to see what the styling looks like, and the next gen 7 will probably give us some clues.

The new 3 series is bad ass, way better than before. I hated that simply front with the laid back grill.
