@Sadclown , chargepipe will not give you any power gain. But it will increase the response to the car since the chargepipe doesn't blown up under boost, so all of the pressure is not reduced.
The main important thing on the chargepipe upgrade is the peace of mind that it will not break on you and leave you stranded in the middle of nowhere.

Thx @[r33_RGSport]. That's what I gathered from some of the searches, we are doing it to prevent issues with a weak part. I was just curious if sound of engine changes after replacing. I see many of the manufacturers state an increase in throttle response and decrease in turbo lag, which seems to describe better flow?

I may opt to Dyno soon, because I'm genuinely curious to know what power the car is making.

Anyway, no issues with the BMW dealer "seeing" anything. I did completely remove Racechip, and it is a much quicker process after you do it only 2 times.

Also, replacing windshields is f'ing expensive. ($1500!!) Doesn't look like there is an OEM option for my particular model either otherwise I would have jumped on that.

Popped Racechip back on after service, and again surprised with the gains I'm feeling. Well worth the $600 bucks in my opinion.

Thinking about replacing charge pipe next. Anyone notice any additional gains/improvements with tune and charge pipe upgrade?

Thanks.
Good feedback. I think you get acclimated to the performance improvement until you remove it go back to factory performance.

I haven't had mine off in a while but still loving the extra kick. I'll have to see how mine feels when I take it off for the next service.

Apology, just saw your post.
Well, other than better flow, the aftermarket chargepipe is made out of aluminum pipe. During boost pressure, it won't expand like the OEM plastic one, with that, all of the boost are directly delivered to the engine.
Therefore, less turbo lag and better response.

Never had a piggy back tune before and I just installed the RaceChip Ultimate yesterday. I bought it used from a member on a different forum. Setup was easy as described in the pictures above.

I set the unit to the recommended factory settings and I feel a big difference already in sport mode. I'm still feeling this out but I'm already looking at getting a charge pipe from BMS with the extra power being put down.

Be careful when picking up a chargepipe. Recently I just heard that BMS is playing around with Chinese brand chargepipe which have thinner aluminum piping and rough finish welds.
Even though it is also aluminum, but a thin wall, do have tendency to crack or break. Also, rough finish and few flashes will cause damage to the motor when it got sucked in.
Just a heads up.
I wouldn't buy a burrito from a steakhouse.

Are there any other places you would recommend that have charge pipes for F10 535i?

I just checked BMS website and the chrome finish charge pipe they have pictured appears to be the same one you are selling with the same ER branding. (Unless they ship you something different) But you have it priced cheaper plus you have it in Black which is what I'm looking for.

If it is the same brand, then it should be the same product.
I know for sure that BMS has their own brand of a charge pipe.

bin01123 I know the product you're seeing might look so attractive due to the price, but be warned sometimes. Go with a reputable brand such as the one RG has and others sell as well.
ER for sure.

Since you have RaceChip it takes some adapting to your driving and engine, stock setting is def good to start and letting the engine adapt. You're in GA so you will have good 93 octane, you will be able to go 1 setting at a time. Best tip is after a tank of gas on each setting.

Thanks for the advice as I'm really grateful for this forum and the knowledge shared here. I will be purchasing an ER charge pipe but not from BMS. And thanks for the advise on the tuning with the RaceChip. I have a few other MODs in mind but I'm trying to do one at a time.
