I said I strongly believe tires were defected since $500 tire can not damage that easy and also that if I continue driving on what I had (1 tire started to tear on the side where bubble is) then it will be dangerous not only for me but also for other people on the road.

Glad their service is high level.

Agreed. Im glad you got it replaced for free. I just had the same issue and it was like pulling teeth but my defense was that I just bought the car 3 days ago. Not sure if I will get lucky this time around.

Thanks for the update!

You could get EasyCare wheel and tire protection. I have it and it paid for one tire already. It cost $1100 + $100 for key fob replacement insurance.

Unless you switch out your tires to Dunlap, Michelin or the cheaper Bridgestone Driveguard, I highly suggest you get insurance. I hear the Driveguard is a good choice, the wear is just not as good but it's half the price.

When my extended warranty and insurance expires in 3 years, I will probably just buy Driveguards until I trade up for an X5.

But those tires were not defective, all good year eagle LS2 runflats are prone to side wall bubbles. What will you tell the dealer the next time it happens? The second set they gave you for free were defective too? I would take the advice of some of the posters and buy tire insurance, driving in Boston with 19" Good Years, its bound to happen again.
