Enhanced Bluetooth feature 2016
Ive read a few threads regarding the feature Enhanced Bluetooth.
Most suggest it gives you better reception when in the car, other threads state it gives your extra functionality i.e. stream music from your phone. I questioned BMW (local) but received the answer that the ONLY difference in having EBT is better reception and other features are based on having the pro nav. Could anyone confirm, what exactly EBT offers on a 2015 model (65 plate)? |

As far as I can tell it is as follows:
Better reception in the car is enabled by using the armrest cradle and relevant phone adapter. This connects to an antenna amplifier and then to the car's external shark fin antenna. Without the phone adapter it won't do anything. If you have the Professional Navigation system, it also gives you access to the following: 1: Ability to connect 2x BT devices simultaneously. 2: Access to the Office Menu which gives you the ability to read SMS messages and (depending on phone) Emails sent to the handset on the Car's display. 3: The ability to connect both a Phone and a USB device in the armrest. This may be possible without Prof Nav.

I coded 6NH to 6NS in my LCI nbt and I have the streaming audio, office and a few other nice features enabled.
Was quite shocked to find initially I couldn't stream Bluetooth audio! Considering it was standard on my old 2009 golf, kinda takes the Mick a bit to have to pay for what is essentially a box tick |

With BMW apps, Spotify works really well giving you the ability to search as well as see the album artwork etc, I use it a lot. The ability to connect 2 phones and receive calls to both is also a useful feature, as is the second microphone. It's an option I'd choose again.
