TPMS

Just fitted the non-TPMS winter wheel/tyre set I had from my previous F12 to my new 2016 640i and, as anticipated due to no transducers in the old wheels, I have a TPMS fault showing on the screen every time I start the car. No problem with that as I just press 'OK' and return to the nav page. However, the amber tyre symbol above the tach remains lit and, whilst it's something I can live with for the winter, I'd like to get rid of it if possible.
Does anyone know if there's a way to permanently delete the fault?

Officially there is nothing you can do.

However a number of people have managed to code the warnings out and revert to the older ABS sensor based Flat Tyre Monitor system. There are some posts on the F30 forums about this.

You could of course spend the money and replace the valves...

Thanks for that, I'll have a look on the F30 forums.
As I said in my original post, it's no big problem if there's not a fix as the wheels will only be on for a few months and I'll be doing way below 1k miles over the winter, so it's something I can easily live with.

Thank you. Yes, I'm well aware that I could change the valves.
