That's correct, Bold cannot have OS6 (required for the email), you need to upgrade to Torch, which is also my dilemna (I have Bold)

I too am trying to decide what phone to get so that I can take full advantage of the new BMW Office Combox features. I'd love to get the new Motorola Droid Pro on Verizon but don't think it supports the MAP features. Looks like I will probably get a Torch unless something else comes out by BB within the next few weeks. My car arrives first week in December (I hope).

I got contacts and texts working from the Blackberry Curve OS 5. No office. Briefly tried to stream audio, couldnt get to work but I assumed i needed OS 6 for that too.
Should I be able to bluetooth audio with OS 5? Checked BMW/bluetooth but it doesnt even list my phone at all. |

Yes you should. Go to your iDrive bluetooth settings, and click on your phone listed there. Go to configuration and in the check boxes, make sure you activate audio as well as telephone.

I just set up my e-mail adress in the connected drive page and the mails do work. I don't think it's iPhone related since CD uses it's own SIM. I can't send or receive texts And finally the 'Internet' menu option that would allow Internet browsing does not appear yet. I hope it helps, Regards, Elie |
