Alright guys Ive been doing some reading but cant really seem to find a good answer so I figured Id ask the forum

I just ordered catless downpipes for my 550i. Im looking at adding a tune and calling it good for performance mods. Historically when Ive gone catless there is a Stage 2 tune but I dont see this option. Am I simply missing it? If so what tuner has it? Id like to not have a CEL every day as well. Any help is appreciated.

Can you confirm that stage 2 will eliminate the CEL? What are the other benefits of Stage 2? JB4's website doesnt seem to have any info and they dont respond to emails requesting more information.

JB4 does not eliminate automatically CEL in the US any longer
You need to manually delete the code

Stage 2 beenfits:
read and delete codes
datalogging
bluetooth connectivity
set boost by gear
set boost by RPM
8 different maps
custom map
methanol, E85 , race gas compatibility

BMS Stage 1 came first
BMS Stage 2 came after
JB4 BETA is current one

The BMS S1 and 2 don't have any functionality besides BSF and Wastegate position for more boost. BMS did not name them in accordance with their typical JB line because of the lack of functionality. Which is why they introduced the N63 JB4. Terry from BMS discusses this on the BMS N54tech forums under the N63 development thread.

JB4 can automatically delete CEL codes; guys over at the M5 forums use it for that purpose. Not sure on the JB4 N63, I think a firmware update was released to support this.

I know for a fact my N63 JB4 BETA automatically deletes codes, but its because mine was purchased over a year ago (my intakes throw a code time to time but with JB4 on, the CEL never comes on). Terry sent me the new firmware and said it indeed removes the function to automatically delete codes.
