Question CA just called...$1730.00 rebate on NAV?

I was working out a deal for an ordered 535xi and wasnt going to order the Nav but was told navigation had to be ordered because of a chip that is needed from Japan is on backorder. Anyway, I accepted the nav and today my CA calls and tells me there is a 1730.00 rebate on the nav. So, I am pretty happy about this!

Has anyone else heard of this?

two questions:

1. if Prem2 is ordered, is the nav credit of 1730 still applicable?

2. For folks who ordered their cars say 30 days ago and are on its way here (but not have taken possesion of it), will they be able to take advantage of this offer as well?

Here in Canada, on the 528i the Nav package is 2k. The dealer told me if I met him half way (ie, pay 1k) he will go for it, since we're forced into the nav due to shortage of smaller screens since the disaster in Japan.

How does this option credit/rebate work? Can we use it as a cap reduction or use it on top of our best quote?

I'm very curious about this as well - would love to be able to take advantage of it on my leased F10 that's due to arrive in a few weeks.

He just too the 1730 off of the price of the car. Now, I dont know if dealers are keeping quiet about this and only giving the rebate to people who are showing concern about having to get the Nav or if it is open to everyone. Its worth asking about it.

With the 1730 rebate, do you know if the dealer is inclined to give out as much discount as normal? I got a great deal (or I thought I did) on a 528 last week with Nav. Wonder if I could get a better deal this month? I know for a lease, the MF has gone up though.

It is a factory rebate/credit so you should get it on top of your deal. I had negotiated the price then a couple days later he called me with the good news. Give them a call and ask them about it. Please keep us informed as I am interested on what they have to say.

Unfortunately I took delivery of the car already, so it's too late. But the dealer said the deal they gave me ($750 under invoice), which seemed good at that time, was only good till end of April. I guess that is what they always say anyway. But I think the MF did go up for this month. Does this nav credit apply only to ordered cars, or cars bought from the dealer's lots as well?

Wow, $750 under invoice? I thought it is not possible to get F10 under invoice

If you don't mind I ask, did you get a base rate for your MF?

Here are my lease details. See post #4:

The deal applied to only in-stock cars though.
