Hey guys i got a quick question!

So i have 2011 550i and im thinking about getting a coilovers, i was wondering does my car have edc system?

How do i check if i have one or not?

If i do, do i have to get a edc delete kit

Same situation with OP. So if i don't see it on the list does that mean i can get the lowering coils for 4 corners?
Looking at Eibach Pro some lowering since i'm upgrading the wheels to 20s.
On the trading sites i can see different packages eg Front only - "But get BMW to lower Rear".

The "Front only" refers to the wagon, F11, that has air suspension in the rear from factory.

So if you car doesn't have EDC or Adaptive Drive, you can get coilovers without the EDC delete.

Yes just springs. I know nothing about lowering just bits of info I'm picking up here.
Adaptive Drive will that be the different ride selection Sports etc.
I m under the impression that in my model this only adjusts the gear transmission.

Adaptive Drive is the activ anti roll bars, but you can only get that on the 530, 535 and 550 so you don't have that anyway.

But if you're just getting springs, it doesn't matter if you have EDC or not since you're not doing anything to the dampers.

Yes, you can get springs (four)
If you have EDC and get coilovers, you'll need the EDC-delete module so you don't get error codes.

And if you got have EDC, you don't have to think about the EDC-delete module.
