How do you know if an F10 has xenons?

When they are not switched on, is there any way of telling?

Looking at an F10 but want one with the xenons.

At least until the lci, xenon equipped cars have led turn signals. These are distinct as you can see many leds in each turn signal. Non xenon have single normal bulbs for turn signals.

I would certainly go for xenon if you can. The difference between them and non xenons is excuse the pun, light and day.
Once you've had xenons, you won't go back. You'll also get the nice DRLs as well with the xenons.

Ah thats a shame, can you retrofit a xenon kit into them?

Also in what way are the Angel rings different to the xenon cars? Are they still LED white in the halogen headlights?

You can retrofit a Xenon kit into the car. Just need a special CANBUS ballast thats compatible with BMW cars.
I think the angel eyes are still LED white

A quick way to see if the F10 is equipped with halogen headlights is to see if the headlights have fins on their side. Fins on beside the Angel Eyes = Halogen.

If you want, you can retrofit Orion V4 rings to those headlights, to get a white AE. Angel Eyes in halogen headlights in the F10s are dimmer. It looks more yellow compared to the Xenons. However, you may have difficulty in putting an HID kit for the headlight. My friend did try to put an HID kit, and it didn't work. Though, he has the V4 rings in his headlights now, and it looked better than the stock Xenon's Angel Eyes.

An easy to tell if a car has Xenon is by the LED angel eye rings around the projector headlights, the regular headlights have a reflector and no ring.

Seriously. Get the VIN. Check it at BMWVIN.com. You can see all the options from the car's bill of materials. You're welcome.

I notice you have the little amber lights at the top of your headlight, is this on the Halogen models too?

It's easiest to look at the indicators, orange bulb vs LED dots.

You are right, I was thinking of the 3 series. All F10 have HID here in the US.
