Hi there,
Just bought my first BMW, 2011 F10 520d m sport. Bought it off a dealer, he got it as a trade in. Car is smooth as and timing chain was replaced not long ago so all good on that front. Got it for excellent price but it’s clear why maybe it was so cheap. Brought it for a minor service today, oil and air filter just to keep me going. Mechanic found that the two front end bottom strut mounts had no nuts on them so basically just a bolt going through the steering knuckle if I’m not mistaken? Anyways I’m trying to buy a set of these nuts/bolts to replace this as it is obviously extremely dangerous.
Does anyone have a BMW part number for this nut/bolt? And is there any aftermarket suppliers that do them? I want to get them asap but I’m having trouble finding them.
If I’m correct it’s an 18mm head on the bolt and a 16mm head on the nut? If this is correct I just need to know the length of bolt.
Brand new to anything BMW so appreciate any feedback.
