Opening trunk and water pours in all over my stuff!

Do you guys get the same thing too? After it rains or even while it's raining or after a car wash I'll open up my trunk and all my stuff in the trunk gets wet from water coming off the trunk lid! Even if I do it slow I'll still get a little bit on my stuff. Is this just a bad design? Does it happen to you guys as well? Any fix?

Definitely a bad design. Always happens.
With my automatic trunk, if the trunk is wet, I try to stop it just before it goes to full open.
After 4 years of ownership I am successful about 50% of the time. I store rags in the two spots where the rain drips.
My retired E60 had the same problem but no auto trunk. But the difference was that the trunk went up so fast the rain/wet flew right off.

Seal and wax it. Water will not stay on it after that.

All my cars have done that. It's rather annoying.

it will help but not all the water is completely gone...especially when it's raining

About the same as above, my e60 flew open but my f10 automatic is slow enough it runs off into the channels.
