So pretty much hold click each side for a few sec than...cool. really, do you guys even use this feature and will it kill the battery?

Nope rarely use it, if I'm parked on a side street with no others cars about I may use it...

Yes and yes. The OM says extensive use will kill the battery (in so many words). Here's a pic of where the light bulb is for these lights...

My e46 used to do this with park lights. Designed for countries with less lights at night so your car be seen on the small roads

Works as advertised in the LCI models (sorry for crappy iPhone pics). Cool feature but don't really see the benefit to this other than draining the battery quicker.

I use this each time I park on side of the road, It won't kill battery
I mentioned before this is nothing new bmw had this function for the longest time

i thought about that too but i think it may look weird or off as it totally makes the whole headlights look different.

Uppp this post. Never knew about this until now!

The only way it turns on is with the car shut off

I turn the car on and both sides do stay on....

Now my only issue i have is how do i disable it!?? cause now it seems to stay on when i turn the car on

Both of my E39's did this.

The F10 *should* be smart enough to shut down the LED's if the battery gets near critical depletion.
