BUYERS BEWARE: Unbelievable Amount of Scammers Lately

Has anyone else had a lot of scammers messaging them with the title of the PM "where are you located" and then giving a phone number in the message saying to text them for the item you have commented on or have listed as WTB?

It is happening to me almost daily now. I have bought a lot of things off this site, most people here are legit, but I want to bring awareness to anyone that is new to buying off this forum.

Make sure you look through any seller's private page and check out the posts they have. if they have 12 posts all from one day, 5-10 minutes apart, very random shit, it is something that should raise a red flag. If the seller refuses to talk on the phone that is a red flag as well. Everyone who has "messaged" me so far refuses to meet up and always says shipping only. Very odd.

For the admins, not sure what you all can do about this. Kind of a bad situation and hard to manage.

I just was texting with one that pulled that exact crap. I knew it was sketch when we said he already shipped me the items but i never gave them my name or address

This is the number that they are using, and some me being all hopped up on Mountain Dew and messing with them.

haha same exact number hit me up about mufflers. that was today. he/she/it is probably reading this.

That's the same number that hijacked a post for an item I am interested in. He said he would ship when ad clearly states pickup only. Led him on for a while trying to get address from him as I kept saying I'll just pick up

Hahaha nice. I finally texted him again and was like look bro, your technique is wack and no one is falling for it. At least have some pride in being a scammer, you’re not even trying. Even when Microsoft calls me and tells me that they deposited an extra $45,000 into my bank account at least they put some effort into it.
