New Idrive options.

Has anyone tried or heard anything about this ? I saw one in my friends 2011 e70 and everything seems to work and it's much clearer !

I have heard about it, not much is good.
You know it is not OE?
It is an android overlay.

I figured that but with my very first gen version of CIC in the F10 which has no bluetooth audio i figured anything is an upgrade. I like the OEM look and everything apparently still works.

Its miracle how they make original parts work.

I had just built in the Ali version today. Interface looks real smart however the glare on the screen is a bit more than the original. With open roof I noticed some reflection but it is very sharp.
No manual available so a bit of a struggle but I found some ideas in the F30 Android section.
All in all it took me about an hour and a half to get it in place with basic setup. So that is not too bad. Took some time to find a place for the extra connector and cable but managed to fit it in. Drilled a little hole in the plastic glovebox top where 2 usb ports and the GPS antenne are placed. System is responsive and sound is working ok. Very cool to have Spotify and TV provider apps working on the device. Will find out how it's working in the coming days.
