Welp... I know now how F1 drivers feel
ok... click bait, my bad.
So today, I didn't even realize how bald my tires were...in true BMW fashion, the rear camber wore the tires to the belt and it separated at highway speeds. The collateral damage was a strip of tire spinning around flailing (much like a F1 car trying to make it back to the pits after a puncture) and tearing up the underside of my car, whilst trying to get to the shoulder. End result is that I'm getting new Michelin Pilot 4S on there today. The question is: What part # is the inner fender skirt (you can see it shredded here) as well as the passenger side heat shield for the muffler?

Well here's the bright side! Nice and meaty! I went to 295/30 on the rear and 265/35 on the fronts.

That's strange because where it let loose at doesn't seem to be touching, maybe just the camera angle.
Anyway, those were shot for sure, should check more frequently. Looks good now! www.realoem.com for part numbers. |

sorry, I didn't clarify. I looked on getbimmerparts... the problem is that I searched rear body, underside, etc on all the categories and couldn't find the parts.

Did you get a new alignment when you got the new tires? If they didn't say you were out of spec I would look for other issues. My friend had a BMW that ate through tires and come to find out the car had been in a bad accident. His fault for not checking on it before he bought it.
My car is lowered and have 35K on my current set of tires and tread wear is completely even. |
