Msport Suspension

I am on the verge of ordering my 2012 535i and I am curious as to how the msport package differs from sport package with dynamic handling package. Specifically I thought msport has a lower suspension with the ability to alter throttle response to a more dynamic level. If I dont like the msport front bumper(cosmetic look item) or the possibly somewhat stiffer ride or lower suspension but like the ability to go from comfort to sport modes and the nicer multicontour seats of a sports package plus dynamic handling package, what do I gain or lose with these 2 possible configurations. Thanks in advance for your input and expertise. Nick

The M-Sport package (option ZMP for $6,500) includes:
- $2200 ZSP - Sport Package
- $2700 ZDH - Dynamic Handling package
- $500 775 Anthracite Headliner

These additional items come with and are ONLY available with the M-Sport package (ZMP):
- body features (bumpers, side skirts, etc.)
- the M-Sport steering wheel instead of standard sport steering wheel from ZSP (presumably thicker rim)
- option to select hexagonal aluminim trim not available otherwise
- 351M wheels

Extras cost $1,100 over and above the 3 packages above.

I think ZDH is the primaty option that will affect handling and give ability to select modes. You have to get SPort package to get that, so the question is whether the extra's are worth the delta cost.

Garage List
in the US, everything you gain with the M-Sport package versus a car with DHP is cosmetic.

Supposedly it is lowered, according to the alignment specs sheet that I have. But if it is, it's slight.

Again, there is NO difference mechanically of a ZSP, ZDH equipped car vs. an MSport.

In Europe, if u order Dynamic Drive (incl EDC), which is part of ZDH in US, then the ride height is the same as standard suspension. U'll only have lowering if u have Msport suspension.

Two dealers told me that they can't place orders for 2012 models, yet. Can you PM me the dealer you are ordering the 2012 model from? Thanks.

some of 2012 528 specs r out,1-2 weeks for 2012 535i . deposit on specific order will wait tell order guide is available. If no new colors may order 2011 and save on price. as a usaa member 2011 with nav. incentive can get about 2600 below invoice. if 2012 much more pricer I can live without start/stop and perhaps somewhat different tech package compared to 2011 model. dealer no, "car intelligent" assisting with purchase
