The stock m-sport diffuser has a painted gloss, very dark grey, finish.

Thanks. I don't recall my stock one being glossy. I guess I need to break down and actually wash my car.

Does anyone know if the exhaust on the 528 will match up with the left hole on the 550 M sport diffuser?
(Yes I am aware temporarily there will be a empty hole on the right side and no I am not adding 550 badge)

FYI...
Just had the M-performance quad diffuser installed to accomodate my Eisenmann quad race exhaust. The rear trunk lid comfort access no longer works. Took it to the stealership last week where it still sits. They told me they had to replace the sensor. They replaced the sensor and it still doesn't work. They said it was as a result of the M-Sport Quad diffuser. I told them there was no warning, up front, that use of the M-sport diffuser would render the rear trunk comfort access inoperable. I asked them how they would like to proceed. The service manager contacted BMW to make them aware of this and are awaiting a response for a work-around. In the meantime, my service manager asked me to call the BMW customer service help line to raise the issue myself in an effort to heighten the concern from the customer perspective. If anyone else has encountered this problem, please call Customer Relations: 1-800-831-1117 and let them know. This will help expedite a fix for existing and future users. Thanks. I'll post the outcome once I get my car back.

Interesting... I'll test it out when i get my new car. I too noticed that once i got the performance diffuser my comfort access for the trunk almost never works. Granted it was never really worked to begin with but then i've always had some sorta aftermarket diffuser on so that could have been the culprit.
I'll test out the stock 550 diffuser for a bit before putting on the Performance one. Alan

My trunk sensor stopped working when i put a cf diffuser, interesting to hear that it also doesnt work with oem M perf diffuser. i wonder if its a material issue or design.

Alan, can you point me to a pic of your M-perf diffuser for the 550? How did you finish it?
