Before / After pics of 535i with RD Sport springs

Guys,
Picked up my F10 535i a few weeks back and haven't done anything besides tint and the CF spoiler. Got the RD Sport springs last week via Nick @ JLevi (thanks!) and got them installed by Darwin / Barrett at Sonic Motorsports in Mountain View (professional and awesome as always). I have the Adaptive Drive option which I like a lot but wanted it to be a bit lower. Just got done today so driving impressions after a week or so.

Before pics:

After pics:

(yes the rims need to be cleaned :-) )

Very keen to hear your driving opinions.

What suspension options do you have?

Front was about an inch, rear was less than an inch. Wheels - yeah :-) When the stock tires are done.

Suspension - I've got the Sport package and the Dynamic Handling Package / Adaptive Drive.

so with the rears + adaptive drive do you swap the springs or is it just links?

Nice look. I had thi car a few years ago with the sport package. I loved how tight it was in the corners and the intuitiveness of the sterring but I didnt like the rough ride. Let us know how it feels.. Enjoy it..

They (RD) have a separate set of springs for cars with DHP, and a set for without. Springs get swapped out all around.

Yup, was just a spring swap.

Impressions so far: I like the feel much better than stock. Previously I was always running in Sport or Sport +, now Normal feels a lot more tight and planted than before. Still prefer Sport mode, but not sure I can really tell the difference to Sport +, will take some more miles to really have an opinion. Overall my initial impression is very positive, I like the drop (could've been a little more and I wouldn't have minded) and the handling of the car seems improved in my daily driving today. Will have to take one of the backroad/hill routes to really push the chassis and see how it goes. Happy so far!

Unless you've changed you settings for Sport, then Sport+ is the same, just without traction control.

cool didn't know that, thought sport + also changed the damping rate further. I have changed the settings, only doing chassis adjustments thru the buttons. I can flip the stick over to manual mode and it goes to the sport drivetrain settings.

Your car's stance definitely looks better than stock but without looking dumped (bad). They might still settle a little bit since they're new, so might end just the way you wanted.

Not overly harsh hopefully?

Been a few more days, I really like it. I took my car thru some of the twisties on Route 9 near where I live and really felt like the car was planted and followed the driving line I was giving it via throttle / steering. Doesn't feel harsh at all . . .

Looks terrific. Very tasteful drop and best part is the xtra handling improvement.

How much for a spring swap?

I have the same springs and they ride very well. I'm going to be selling them soon though. Going with KW coils to get a lower drop. These RD still feel a bit high for me.

Lacster - yup, seen the pics of your car very nice. I know what you're saying about the drop, I had KW coils on my E90 but don't want to mess up the Adaptive Drive too much, not going to be an early adopter on that front :-)
