528 Exhaust (N20)

After researching exhaust options for the N20 motor, I found it to be limited to a few brands which were out of my budget. I decided to contact a local performance shop, Vortex Motorsports (aka VSR Motorsports) to see what they could come up with. I took along some pictures from others on the forum who kept their factory muffler and added a cross pipe under their diffuser from one of the tips as an option.

We debated a few options here is what we came up with. We used four 3.5" Vibrant tips on two Ultra Quiet Resonators (used as mufflers). The fabricator kept as much of the factory piping to help reduce the sound as he mentioned the factory pipe has flat spots for this reason and thus he started the Y a little more towards the back of the car. Overall the workmanship is excellent and the sound is almost perfect for my taste. If I could I would turn it down just one notch. Sounds clip to come this weekend.

Nice welds. Actually looks good overall. Thinking about the same route for my 550 as I can't justify the costs of what's available. Post up some sound clips soon.
