CF mirror covers

My passenger side mirror was attacked yesterday by a gate handle (it was a very narrow opening and I paid too much attention to the driver's side and neglected the passenger side. I also got some nasty scratches that, THANKFULLY, buffed out). I figured it would be cheaper to get a set of the CF covers than the repair of the cover.

Anyone get one of those sets off of eBay? Are the Hong Kong, Taiwanese, or Chinese covers any good? How's the fit?

I heard AutoTechnik makes nice CF covers. I know some of the guys there well so I'll see if you want, maybe I can hook you up.

I just ordered a set from RW Carbon, and they will be here Wednesday. Very affordable. They source from overseas but do quality control on the products and have an actual shop in California, so it's much safer than ebay. Read some good reviews, but will update the thread once I install Wednesday or Thursday

I got actual replacement caps, not covers, but RW Carbon has both I believe. I paid 235 plus shipping for the replacements and they shipped the next day

Looked at them and they're a bit out of my price range. I'm not a CF fan so my goal is to go cheaper than just fixing the mirror cap.

it's a hit or miss like lsturbointeg said. one time I ordered CF mirror caps for cheap and one didn't even fit right, and the company never responded to my emails for a refund. So it's really your call. Best of luck though

I am thinking about going gloss black for the mirrors but somewhat impossible to find them preprinted.

ANy ideas would be highly appreciated.

i have the carbon fiber grills from AutoTechnik and they came out perfect. so i'm thinking the CF mirrors should be the same

your only 2 options is have your mirror caps painted or wrapped

was that through Ebay brother?

here's mine wrapped i did the other week. i posted a thread on it along with the roof spoiler i wrapped in carbon fiber

I ended up contacting the company outside of eBay and they gave me a better deal, but didn't turn out in my favor seems like, lol
