I just wash them by themselves in the washer with liquid detergent and no softener. Then dry them in the dryer on low.

But make sure you wash them before you use them dry your car off. If you don't they leave a haze - ask me how I know.

I use disposable microfiber polishing pads for applying polish/wax to my cars and just use the towels for wiping off. I haven't had any issues other then after about 10 washings they seem to lose their softness - then they become rags. Even though I wash them separately, they still pick up lint strings that seem to weave their way into the towels.

Oh yeah, don't forget to cut the tags off before you use them!

I NEVER use them twice - walmart has them on sale just before autumn kicks in - $9 for 25 of them - no tags (thanks for reminding Chili, ure right) microfiber pick "every particle of dust" so efficiently that i dont think that lose dust that efficiently - i use the old ones from paint on rims - then older rim ones on tyres, then they are gone...

I haven't had anything clean MF as well as using a polishing pad rejuvenator like http://www.autogeek.net/dp730.html

It's basically a very strong detergent with nothing that will interfere with the operation of MF (like most laundry detergents have).

Pre-soak in a bucket, and then you can also use the stuff as the detergent in a machine too.

Even an MF towel which seems clean will turn 3gal of water nasty colours (depending on what it was used for) when something like this is used.
