2013 F10 Production when?? Any changes?
Do we know if there will be any changes to the 2013 F10's yet and when BMW will make the switch over? In the past I believe BMW usually stops production for a month in sept/oct for this change.
From what I gathered 2014 is when the LCI is due which my guess will atleast incorporate the squared buttom angel eyes since all of their new cars have it. Hopefully it won't be a major revision. Alan

It will be the usual cutover in September 2012. There will be no change to body style, but not sure if the 535 engine will change.

^^ thats what I am wondering myself. With the introduction of the N20 closing the gap between the two models it makes sense that BMW is going to update the 535 in some way increasing the HP.

Production September for German-made BMW and November for American manufactured bmw, no facelift for 2013 mod f10. changes in the 535i get same engine as 640i 320 hp engine I believe.

No changes for 535d in 2013. 535d got a new engine in 2012, 313 hp same as the 640D. But I reckon that 535i also gets the same engine as the 640i 320 hp in 2013. September 2012 production.

According to BMW's ordering guide for the 2012 models the 2013 model year will start production in July 2012. There's also mention of a July SOP for the F10 in some of the BMW Canada documents on the M5. Rumor has it as that there will be a change in body electronics (mentioned in the BMW Canada bulletin) as well as a change in engine to an updated version of the N63 with valvetronic (internet conjecture).
Body electronics means a likely update to the iDrive (touchpad input seems to be the consensus here).

It is not ordering the day that determines the model year of your car, say that you book the car in july, but the car will be produced in September. you get 2013 mod. When you buy new bmw, be sure to ask your dealer about the production week for the car you buy, they have it on the computer, when you get production week for your car so you can calculate whether you are in september, if you are, you get2013 mod. This is German-made BMW. For the United States is manufactured bmw is November that decisive year mod.

I'm not sure how it is with BMW's produced for usa market. But it is September for Europe cars. I know this because I got the enlightenment when I was on factory visit in summer 2012 on Welt Munich. I do this every summer.

With the demise of the manual in the xDrive 5-series, I've been hesitant to jump
Further, while the 535i xDrive made perfect sense as the only 5-series xDrive with a manual, I'm really torn over the 550i xDrive given I'm stuck with a slushbox in either case. Another 50HP for both cars in 2013 would be a nice bump! Curious where folks are getting the +20HP 535 / +50HP 550 numbers - are these just speculation or does someone have a semi-reliable source they could point out? Thanks in advance! Well this really puts me in a tuff situation. I plan on ordering my F10 around June for August delivery. Puts me close for the 2012-2013 cut off.
I wonder if the hp gains from the N55 is purely a software thing or is there some hardware differences. Alan

Per BMW NA's 2012 Ordering Guide dated 2/18/2012.
F10 MY 2012 started production in 9/2011 and will end production 6/2012. Per the Canadian F10 M5 ordering guide: Quote:
