Question concerning yearly Dinan discount...

I heard that Dinan has a 15-20% sale once a year... I would love to get the Stage 2 when it happens. Does anyone know specifics or how I can learn when they do the sale?

Thanks!

I think it's usually near September, I'm patiently waiting as well.

LOL, I know, I guess I'll wait until September then!

Has anyone done the Dinan springs as well as the Stage2 mod? Would like to hear what they expected and if they are happy with them..

Don't wait - the value of the warranty diminishes as your factory one ages. Also, the time you have with your car is finite - the longer you wait the less you get to enjoy it's full capabilities

You may be able to negotiate with your dealer as well - mine ran a one day 10% off sale recently so they have room...

I heard it's night and day compared to stock... did you get just the Stage 2 or did you do more?

Yes, it makes a huge difference - the torque is incredible. You won't be disappointed.

I went from stage 1 to 2 to 3. I'm contemplating going back to 2 as stage 3 doesn't feel quite right to me (I didn't get the exhaust) It doesn't feel as powerful and there seems to be more lag. I'm going to get a dyno first, but i expect to downgrade after...

I would not recommend stage 1 to anyone - go right to stage 2 as it has much better drivability, throttle response, and low end power in first and second gear.

Let me know what you find out about the stage 3 at the dyno.

It seems Dinan holds their sale (if they have one) the last quarter of the year. So September-October, but I don't have confirmation on that. Just our experience as a dealer.

I posted this a couple days ago. Doesn't help if you aren't in the Bay Area.

My 550i M Sport is another beast with the Stage 3 and exhaust. It is a night and day difference compared to stock.

Thanks, I had read that same thing. Just need to get my car broken-in past the 1000 mile mark, and hopefully the sale will be here this fall

Hey Joe, do you have a clip of your car you can share with us? Thanks!

I can take a video some time this week. The Dinan exhaust is not that loud and I am considering changing out some of the mid pipes, just not sure with what. Maybe SuperSprint section 1 and resonated section 2.

The Dinan mufflers do sound great at WOT, very deep. I'll try to get a video up this week.

My local dealer claims Dinan sometimes goes on sale after a race win. Lets see with the recent Road America win if we see a sale soon.
