Front splitter vs parking bumper
I take care of my car and know how to drive and park with front splitter, but in Miami I have to valet my car often and those idiots damage my splitter because they touch the parking bumper while parking. I'm tired of telling them to park backwards because it just doesn't help. They'll either forget about it or ignore my request. It's a common problem, isn't it?

Not really, most of us don't have the splitter.
Its been my experience that when we deviate from the stock dimensions we run the risk of mishaps. I stopped adding such modifications as I tired of the expense and the problems they caused. No, its not fair.

wait, do you have pictures of the damage? i would refrain from using the valet's again and just park the car yourself. i even freak out when i take it to the dealer for work...how much more with some 18 year old punk kid parking your car for $5 tip

I wanted a lip to complete the look of my car but it scrapes the front end when I pull into my driveway as is lowered on h&r springs. Here in las vegas its common to valet and when I do I pay extra for them to leave it up front on the "baller" parking spots, its $20 bucks to not have to worry about them driving my car all over the place and possibly damage it. You might try that or stop using valet, nobody cares more about your car than you.
Here's a pic of mine barley clearing a short parking block! |
