HID fogs
Hello fellow F10'ers... I'm in need of any suggestions for replacing my fog lights on my 550i M Sport. Can anyone recommend HID fog lights other than the H7 5000 watt bulbs with cancellation errors? I'm looking for the fogs to match my xenon headlights...
Thanks in advance |

This just got discussed here http://f10.5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=646064 last week if you want to go the LED route... Or are you trying to replace like-for-like bulbs in the Fog Lights?

Sorry bro, this isn't "SPAM". I'm just trying to get some help from fellow F10'ers. Plus, I also tried clicking on each link that you posted with no luck as well...

You should be looking at H11 HID kit for your fog. NOT H7.
When sourcing the kit, you should try to find one that is Canbus. They are designed for European make cars' electrical circuitry. Just google the term Canbus hid kit bmw and you should find many vendors who sell it. Alternatively, if you just want to switch out your stock halogen to something whiter, there are not many brands available, but here is one that is kind of close in matching the color. NO need to buy any error cancelling cable. Simple swap out the stock and in the aftermarket ones. http://www.hoen-usa.com/fog.htm In another thread, a blogger mentioned he has Philips Diamond Vision H11 (which you can buy from many UK online reseller), I had that also and the color is more of puplish than white. I was disappointed in the color output even though Philips's packaging says it's 5000K. Right now, I have PIAA plasma ion yellow on my 550 Msport fog. It is more functional during rainy weather. Lacster...i was going nuts for the 1st 3 weeks i bought the car, i bought the DDM tuning ballast with the error canceling install them and every time i turn the light on they flicker then goes off. I had 3 set(bought for different car) of new ballast fr DDM, tried every single one of them same issues. If i drive the car for maybe 10mins and turn them on, it will flicker then stay on.. so it was a hit n miss every time.. I suck it up paid $150 and got the Morimoto and they work without any issue.
PS: i use DDM on my 2010 maxima with no issues before..

I didn't check any of those links, but I remember a post that the fog light was Xenesis from Bimmian.com
