Everyone uses different terminology - here is how I understand the oem 550 exhaust per realoem.com

Downpipes with cats, connected to 2 resonators, followed by a single center muffler which combines both pipes into one, and then back out to two rear mufflers.

Not sure why people call that center muffler a resonator.

Am I off base here?
The Rear Resonator and Mufflers were removed from the 550i and replaced with the M5 piping and rear mufflers. Don't think there was anything other than the rear resonators following the down-pipes.

It's the down-pipes, resonators and mufflers...

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't believe he can fit the rear of a M6 Gran Coupe wheel (20x10.5 ET19) on the F10?
Don't think it was a square setup, this car had a staggered setup

Interested- wanted the M6 wheels but was told they would not work unless used a square setup consisting of two pairs of front wheels

I absolutely LOVE how you've done this car. Especially striking are those side pictures of this low, low front with these mighty wheels. Your 550 looks in them like a prowling predator of sorts (I like this motive played in the pic with the other - more civilized 550 - in the background!).

You struck the perfect balance between aggressive and yet subtle looks. Much owed to the dark paint, which generally is not a favorite of mine, but in your render: perfect!

Chapeau bas, Monsieur!

Not sure if this is/answers your question but it might add some perspective for discussion http://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/sh...tor-vs-muffler
