Alpinas are not in general without the rails. You can order them, just like a normal BMW:

To be honest I simply did not notice that the rails are an extra option. Your comments first made me aware of that, funny.

But I had it on my old F11 and never used it in 3 years. So I think I will not miss anything...

In the Nordics the rails are standard or part of comfort package so all F11s got them. I really like the cleaner look without them
