Invited to check out the Aston Martin One-77
In Taiwan visiting my parents for Christmas vacation. My dad was invited to take a look at it. Thought I'd share some pics with you guys. Totally amazing in person.
They made 77 of them in the world. There's only 17 left if you want to buy one lol. This car is actually a prototype. So the number for this one is actually 0/77. This is a completely hand built drivable prototype which costs 4 times more than the original. So the original is around $1.7 Million USD. So you multiply that by 4 and then you have to double it again because of the Taiwanese import tax. Edit: More photos.

Damn that is impressive...my understanding is that they are not sold out. and they only made 70 of them?
Astons do appeal to certain emotional senses -- sound, imagery. Not so much the drive. Beautiful car as always -- the most gorgeous car maker on the planet. |

Yes, and the key I think its some kind of an electronic cube that you insert into the engine start button.

Is it me, or does the interior (especially the wheel) look unfinished?

It's a functional prototype for shows and displays. Once all the production One-77s are sold, then the prototype will go on sale as well. I think...

As for the key, it is similar to ours, but with a glass part at the end. The ignition slot is made of glass (or crystal, I'm not sure which) and when you insert the key in the glass part of the key matches up and it blends in:
