I remember looking into this. It's WICKED expensive, so I'd only do it as a DIY or if you plan on hardcore tracking. The N55 only runs into oil starvation on long, steady state high G turns, so for 99% of N55 owners this isn't an issue.

The parts are cheap. It's the labor that's expensive. You're pretty much doing a oil pan gasket job, but with the added labor of asking them to retrofit a pump. A lot of shops aren't willing to do that, so the ones who are tend to charge a bit more than normal.

I just picked up the oil sump with baffles, pump, pick up tube with secondary pump on it out of an S55, I'll be doing this soon along with my rod bearings, video to come!

Awesome. Could you please provide information on the kinks? That would be really helpful for others.

Are you PWG or EWG? Trying to figure out if this will work on a PWG 135i. Not a lot of information on this conversion for a PWG n55.

I had an oil pressure issue that was un related to the swap. I also tuned to increase the oil pressure. I will get a video out eventually… if you have any questions hit me up on insta @bimmerhausperformance and we can chat.
