Can I go for a California emissions test in this case?


I have a 2013 BMW 528i that sets an intermittent boost code 120308 whenever I accelerate hard while ascending an upward slope on a freeway. The "drive code malfunction" light turns on but it disappears after the car is restarted. No check engine light is seen. No other codes are set. There are absolutely no drive issues at all and the fuel efficiency is great.

I have been to an experienced BMW shop many times but the shop cannot find the cause. The car has been smoke tested.
