Would adjusting turbo actuator cause 101F01 code?

I had my car in for service at an independent shop and the tech said he adjusted my turbo actuator "a few threads" to try and quiet down waste gate rattle for me. It was a mild/moderate rattle when cold that went away after about a minute of idling. A few days later I got a CEL with the code 101F01. Are these events connected or just a coincidence? I figured if the turbo was out of adjustment I'd get a boost pressure code, not a Mass Air Implausible code. Thanks.
