Hi guys, Purchased a 2011 f10 today, It has the smokers package which has the ashtray and cigarette lighter, Ive noticed on cars without the smokers package there is 2 drink holders and a place to put the key fob, Would it be possible to change my ashtray to the drink holder type? I did a similar thing on my old e90 changed the ashtray for sunglasses holder.

Is the car auto or manual? Manual and auto have a slightly different layout, auto has the the two drinks holders and key fob area with the ashtray where the cup holder is in the manual variant.

Drinks holder has a larger hole on the centre console trim, not sure whether you could dremel it out. I have the same problem you need a new centre console trim

The two drinks holders and key slot are on cars with the automatic gearbox, not without the smokers package. My F10 has the smokers package, but as it's an automatic, I have the two drinks holders.

Yours must presumably be a manual, so you get a single drinks holder instead. It's not related to the presence or lack thereof of a smokers pack.

Thanks for the replies, Yes my car is a manual, As stated i have the single drink holder just behind the iDrive controller. There is another drink holder in the centre armrest but i find it fairly useless.
