best way to gain hp + torque for the 535 f10's

Just wondering what methods owners did to gain hp with their 535's.

I heard mixed reviews with software upgrades. Some report obvious gains and others say dyno reports say the upgrade dont really add any power.

thoughts?

Thanks

Burger Tuner's JB4 setup provides great numbers but dealerships will be quick to void your warranty when they discover that aftermarket control box that's been installed! Stick to the flash setups from vendors like GIAC or Dinan!

How does jb4 work and will it leave a trace in the computer to track? Especially at end of the lease.

How difficult is install and removal for dealer visits?

go jb4 and just remove it before you go to the stealership... dont waste your time with dinan, its overpriced and doesnt make much power over stock.

Does Dinan even make a product for our F10s......I grow tired of the "coming soon" responses. lol

Dinan doesn't even offer anything for the f10 n55. I think the JB4 is the only game in town.

You can easily remove it before going to dealer.

Correct! & Agreed!
Downpipe from AR Design or E.R. Is a great mod as well if you can't afford a complete exhaust system.

You may want to consider AFE scorcher, a bit more conservative though but really good. Had it for more then one year no problems whatsoever. Plus exhaust, downpipe and charge pipe.

Yes, more then the best catback performance exhaust system out there. About 15 HP being conservative if you go cattless

Correct, Those are the claims.
I've got the GTC exhaust on my 535 and it sounds amazing and I think it added close to that in HP but it put a hole in my wallet. Last week I heard a members car with stock exhaust and downpipe it sounded great when driving off. Makes me wonder if that's all it takes to add some performance and sound great. Just not sure how they sound at low RPMs when driving freeway. (Any info on this would be great) That is the main reason why I got the GTC, so when cruising the freeway at low RPMs I close the value and it doesn't have the normal annoying drone noise. I've heard just about very exhaust system for our car and they all drone at low RPMs.

Yeah true its hard to get an performance exhaust without drone, my AFE catback had drone also so I had to put a couple of resonators. Now drone is minimal on normal drive and almost non-existent on sport. I must say I like the way it sounds now.
As for the down pipe I am not sure it would add that much noise on stock exhaust. Mine got only a tad louder however I went with the catted version.

In CA yes, not sure the laws where you live. In CA you don't have to smog your car till around 4-5 years old and then every other year. Just remove before doing a smog check.

We have emission tests every year here in TN. Are these things easy to install and remove?
