FInally installed OEM CF Front Splitter

Looks much better in person than the pics...But the car is now 1.5" closer to the ground and will definitely scrape driveways, etc. Thinking of getting larger tires. I currently have 245/40/19 front and 275/35/19 rears. Can I do 245/45/19 and 275/40/19?

Looks great. I'd like to install OEM Splitter but I'm already scraping driveways and I'm only dropped on H&R's. Let me know how you go and how often you hear that mortifying cheese grating sound.

Looks great, but this is the exact reason why I haven't purchased a front spoiler/splitter for my car. If possible, enter driveways and entrances at angles to get one wheel on the curb first.

True. Helps to minimize the scrape. I was reluctant to get the splitter but after seeing how it looks, especially on a white F10, couldn't resist. You can actually remove the center piece and just leave the two splitters. Another option in case the center piece cracks or breaks.

I'm on ACS so not as aggressive of a drop as H&R. I've been avoiding all the steeper driveways and so far so good.

Which brings up a good point now if you're running a splitter than it doesn't make sense to run coilovers than springs if it's that low?

yeah you definitely run the risk of damaging the splitter/lip with coils since it's slammed. But there are some guys on the forum with coils and splitter/lip.

Are you sure about this? I have been trying to figure out if this was possible for a while now. Have you tried it?

I did not try it. I did take it to a body shop to get a quote on installation and asked about removing the center piece. They said they can do it. I opted not to remove it and just install it myself. But in case the center piece gets damaged, I'll have it removed.

It's such a pain, but my parents finally got a shaved curb on their new house. No more scraping everytime I go to visit. I can even get KWs and still not scrap.

Back in my racing days this was common. Especially when you have about 10 lowered cars behind you doing the something...slowing down... angling... than back up to speed Lol!
