Rear Bumper Diffuser

Newbie Here
Got a 2013 535I with M Package and was rear ended. What was the factor color of the rear diffuser which goes around the Black exhaust ports. Was it made of metal or a plastic finish. The body shop painted it the same as the color of the car but I think it was flat black. BMW ordered a part from my vin number to see; waiting for it to come in.

Plastic (same as the bumper) but in gloss black is how they come as standard

Actually, they're more of a dark grey. Easier to see the contrast on a black car
