Baby Seat vs. Leather
Does anyone have any recommendations for quality seat covers or something like that to protect the leather from my child's car seat?

I just put a layer of foam padding (that you can buy from bedding store) between the baby's bottom & back seat & car seat so there is no forced indention created by the baby seat.
May not be pretty in appearance but works well for me. |

I bought this product from Amazon UK
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sunshine-Kid...0840874&sr=1-1 which has squares of padded foam to avoid creasing the leather, but also has an extended lower flap which covers and protects the edge of the seat. Useful for my daughter's habit of sitting in her booster sit with her feet on the front edge of her seat. |

We got some covers designed to sit between the child seat and the car seat, which worked fairly well, but it does depend on which type of car seat you're using.
The booster seats for older children are ok as there's no load on them when they aren't occupied, but the full seats for younger (under 3 ish) which are strapped down hard are going to end up damaging the seat foam if they are left tightened down all the time, as I know from experience in my A6... luckily a company car. If you're worried about damage and have young children, it's probably worth taking the seats out when not in use.

I use these prince lionheart 2 stage for boosters, where you don't have to worry about getting a snug fit: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index...prodFindSrc=rv
For the back of the seat, the Chelsea Rover are the best I have found so far, it provides coverage around the edges of the seat. I have them in both of my cars and they now come with an adapter for the non removable headrests: http://www.amazon.com/Rover-Gear-Che...1973403&sr=1-1 |
