I live in Iselin NJ. Looking to find a mechanic shop a bit closer that specializes in BMWs as my new job will be away from my old shop.

Any recommendations?

I'm looking for

- They know how to tune
- Reliable
- Honest
- Skilled


BimmerClinic is down in South Amboy which is what I currently have on my list. Plus my old shop gets so crazy booked now there is no room to park my car without fear of someone hitting it and booked way out weeks in advanced.

Acm is ok, been there a few times, but I wouldn't recommend it. They're expensive and not throughout with what they do, picture going back to fix the same issue more than once. I have a guy, his name is tony, autobahn imports in hackensack. He's my Indy, reasonable prices and the guy is really good.

Friend did his bearings for a bit over 3k. They charge a reasonable rate.

IMO it's okay if a shop fucks up as long as they own up to it and make it right. It's only concerning when they consistently fuck up. Did ACM consistently fuck up for you?

Dealer rates, $150 hr. For that price service should be better. My guys rate is $100/hr plus I don't have to go back there after whatever he fixes.

Er, dealer rates for near the NYC NJ region is 200+. BMW of Springfield charges somewhere like 250 an hour.
