Style 184 winter rims

Will the winter package for previous 5 series and 6 series with style 184 18" rims and 245/45/18 RFT work well on the F10 535xi?

those are 18 * 8 ,Offset 20

The ideal is 18 * 8,Offset 30

Both using 245/45/18 tire

Meaning, you will have extra 10mm clearance from the Strut, in turn the rim will now extend 10mm outward. Technically, it's okay. However there is a very small chance your tire may rub into the fender as the suspension goes up & down.

There appears to be 2 offsets available on style 184s. 18x8@20mm offset and 18x8@14mm offset. If they are 14mm, they might be too aggressive for the F10s.

Agree. If you have the latter which are found on the 6 series, then the likely it will rub against the fender is very high.

The difference between (ideal) 30 - 14 = 16mm more clearance from the struct and the wheel is extended 16mm outward.

I guess the OP needs to find out which version of the wheel you have.

thanks for the info guys.... aren't stock wheel/tires specs VERY conservative? I mean I am running 15mm/12mm spacers on my e93 M3 and there are no clearance issues, however I guess there is only one way to find out!

***Pics removed as sellers on kijiji started using pictures of my car without consent.***

FYI, I came across a set of OEM 184s on Kijiji 18x8@14ET with 245/45/18 Pilot Alpins. Front offset is a bit too aggressive but rears sit flush. They work fine on stock 535xi height without rubbing. Hope this helps.

Bringing this thread back from the dead!!

I have an ‘11 535xi with 20 spoke oems. I am looking at a set of style 184 just like what is pictured above. They are 18x8 offset 14... which means a mm outward of 16mm.

Does anyone have input if this will run ok with my car? All suspension and ride height is stock.

The second to last post in this thread stated that someone saw a car with that wheel and style and fit without issue. So I’m curious if, in the years since, this has been a popular style on 535’s.
