Removing Bmw f10 paddle shifters

Does anyone know how to remove the paddle shifters off of an F10 LCI M-SPORT steering wheel?

Is coding required for error?

Thank you!

To physically remove them you have to remove the airbag, the trim bezel and then 2 torx screws.

No, you don't need to decode the car, it doesn't really care if they are present or not.

But why would you remove them?

My wife would LOVE to have me remove the paddles. Even though I told her that it really won't hurt anything, she occasionally hits the "-" paddle when going for the turn signal. I imagine she'll get use to it.

If you don't care about giving it away...then I'll happily take them off your hands.

I just need it to develop a more aggressive add-on for my existing paddle shifter.
Not sure though if they are the exact same ones as I have on my 2011.

How about putting her in a "Hyundai" for a week and then asking her about removing those pesky non standard SAT paddle shifters.

If I want her to be able to drive my car we have to have the same car. She is vehemently opposed to change!
