Hi, i also have the same problem and thought is my glove box that rattles. Added cushion etc but no help. In the end i realised there is one screw below the glive box compartment where the passenger usually rest their leg. That screw somehow is loose so once i tighten it, the sound disappered. Hope this is the issue.

Where exactly is the screw? I am getting the same rattle and I was thinking about changing the two rubber pieces that hold the door shut. Any help us appreciated my car is a 2011.

THIS IS IT!!! I had a squeaky rattle from the glove box on my 2016. Being a diesel, sometimes it would get going even just from the vibrations at idle. It was driving me nuts!

There are two 10mm hex head bolts under the glove box, they hold the airbag assembly in place. I checked after reading this, and sure enough the left one (closest to the center console) was so loose I could move the airbag panel up and down a few mm and re-create the sound!

I tightened both even though the right one wasn't really loose, and the sound is gone. THANK YOU!!! An old thread brought back to life - I hope this helps someone else!!!
