Options- Help me Choose

Ordering new 535i with M Package tomorrow. Have an additional $1,200 to spend and cannot decide between Nappa leather, or the Heads Up Display (HUD)

Input from serious 5 series fans would be most helpful.

Other equip with M pkg includes premium pkg; sound pkg; tech pkg; sport trans;shades; heated seats; and apps.

Titanium with Oyster/Black.

Thanks!

I think the HUD will be the most useful, entertaining, adds to safety, and carries the cool factor.

I would say both but if it has to be one .....HUD in BMW is little advanced than its competitors it is worth the addition

Both, really. Really tough choice - I'm so used to the HUD I'm not even looking at the instrument panel any longer. Then again I also love the Nappa interior.

My car has HUD, but not Nappa. So I vote HUD!

HUD combined with collision detection is brilliant.

Plus, HUD combined with active cruise with stop and go is awesome.

The collision detection is not as useful without HUD. You will see the red car alert in the HUD when a car imperceptibly but quickly slows down and your brakes will prime.

A slight application of the brakes will slow you down and give you such a huge margin of error you will thank the Lord you got this feature.

Even die hard BMW drivers get distracted. When you are dealing with work issues just flip on the active cruise with stop and go.

Combined with the HUD, you will increase your safety margin so significantly you will never want to drive without it.

You really need the HUD to take advantage of the extra margin for safety.

The navigation overlays are displayed through the HUD and this improves safety as well since you don't take your eyes off the road.

HUD is a must, but I urge you to consider collision detection and then cruise.

Hud vs. Nappa - no brainer (for me)

I have HUD on my 550, use it all the time. These cars are so quiet you forget how fast you are going. IMO you will get more use (plus the safety factor) from HUD than the look you get from nappa. I vote HUD all the way...
